EcoZoom is a social enterprise that makes clean burning, portable wood and charcoal powered cookstoves for healthy, efficient and eco-friendly cooking around the globe. With their operational expansion from Portland, Oregon to East Africa, EcoZoom called in koolgirlposse to design a distinct branding program to set apart their brand as a premium product in its class.

koolgirlposse created an approachable, aspirational look and feel with a particular appeal to women being the primary household cooks. The colorful, energetic logomark cleverly weaves the triad of dots – representing the traditional three stone fire, the three O’s in EcoZoom, and the company’s triple-bottom line – into a proprietary symbol, working beautifully as a dimensional logo stamped into the stove bodies, as well as in print on packaging, collateral, and tear sheets.

The art directed photography suggests purity and colorful abundance while the culturally relevant how-to diagrams are universally understood. The packaging itself creates a sense of discovery through layering as the stove is unboxed, and this is intended as the moment of connection between the brand and consumer.
